I was kind of excited to see that I was doing this even before I read Purpose Driven Youth Ministry. We worked hard to put good data into our student ministry database-more than just name/etc, we captured a lot of good info. I would spend time every other week going through our list, calling or writing students that I hadn’t seen in a while.
But here’s the cool idea: in April, I’d look at the list of seniors and see names of students that had just drifted away from our minis... Read More -->

From Mike Donehey...
If there's anything I could say to youth pastors,
to those who have the great and awesome calling to lead students
to the feet of Jesus, I suppose that it would be this:
"Friends, preach the gospel."
and closely behind it,
"Friends, believe the gospel."
Yeah, I know, kindergarten kind of stuff right? Well maybe not.

Be sure to click below to listen to Natalie's song I Will Not Be Moved

They are searching for validation and acceptance and many are seeking that through relationships with boys. But they are also searching for significance. They want to know how to really live for God in this generat... Read More -->

Music’s Role in Ministry
I write to you at a chaotic moment in our world. Myanmar and China have both just experienced epic losses of life; the world of Christian music mourns over the tragic accident in the family of Steven Curtis Chapman; we’re all currently shackled on the edge of an energy and economic cris...
