Be sure to go to the bottom of the article and listen to "For Those Who Wait" while you read!
Tell me about the new album? How do you think your sound has changed from the last one to this one?
We are very excited about our new album "For Those Who Wait"! We are always seeking to grow both sonically and as a ministry, and we feel so blessed to be able to continue to play. We were all extremely nervous going into the writing for "For Those Who Wait." After the breakout success of our last CD Unbreakable, we wondered how could we ever compete with the miracles we saw God accomplish through that album. But as usual, our limited perspective never perceives the fullness of all that God can do, and He wowed us once more as He not only inspired us with a songs that were new, but that spoke to our hearts in a way that we had never been touched before. He inspired us through the circumstances we were all facing, and also through the stories that our fans have shared with us. The result is an album with much more diversity, the rock songs are heavier hitting, yet the softer songs are more stripped down and personal then we've ever written before.
What do you think God has been teaching you and the rest of the guys in the band over the last year since the last album came out?
God is showing us His faithfulness, we have just been blown away by all the support and success that FTWW has had so far. Last year was a crazy year for each of us, and writing the album seemed to come at the worst time. But God uses our worst times to bring out the best in us, and He brought us through those times and now we are getting to see how He is using the songs He gave us for the album to do great things, and it makes all of the hard times totally worth it.
Everyone at interl'inc loves the new song “For Those Who Wait”. Tell me about the meaning behind that one.
Everybody has to wait for something, most of us are waiting right now. So many times we get caught up in looking towards what we are waiting for and then when life happens and hard times come we just cant understand why God is letting all this happen. But truly, its those little bumps along the way that God uses to make us into the people he wants us to be, its the hard lessons that truly make the difference and become the cornerstones of our faith and character.
If you guys weren’t able to do music anymore what do you think you would be doing?
Dawn- I would either go back to teaching high school, or become a christian counselor.
What do you think the ministry or the mission of the band is?
Our mission is to help spread the message of God's love to all people, and to help them see the Hope that He has for them.
How can youth leaders be praying for you all?
Pray for traveling mercies and safety! Every day is a new adventure out on the road, also pray that God will give us favor and perseverance! Thanks! |
