Be sure to click below to listen to Crash while you read through the songs

“Crash”/ “This is a really explosive song that’s actually been around for awhile, but something we all loved right off the bat. We co-wrote this one with lead singer Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch. We weren’t really writing for a title track, just wanting to write a really strong song both sonically and rhythmically. One of the strongest lines comes during the bridge when we say “hear me out...I’m never backing down.” It shows the intensity of someone wanting to get through whatever issue they’re facing. When you’re at a point in your life where diversity is tearing you apart... you can either succumb to its pressure or crash through that circumstance and be better because of it!” – Josh

“Desperate”/ “ ’Desperate’ is basically a cry out to God for His grace and mercy. Not only for that, but for everything he has to offer us. A lot of people are satisfied receiving God's gift of salvation and they stop there. God has so much more for us that we should desperately seek him for everyday! All of that.......with really big guitars.” -TJ

“Fading”/ “It’s smooth but heavy and anybody who likes rock should be able to grab a hold of it. It’s definitely a darker song that’s more serious in dealing with addiction- whether that be something like drugs or alcohol or just wanting to fit in. Even though it’s really heavy, I don’t think it will cause a crazy mosh pit in concert because a lot of people are really going to listen to what’s going on and hopefully come away with the meaning on this mid-tempo song.” –Chris

“Best I Can”/ “ ‘Best I Can’ is definitely a standout track on the record. The idea we wrote with Skillet’s John Cooper. We’re good friends with Skillet and they’ve been a big influence on us as we’ve toured, plus they’re amazing people. We wound up co-writing this with John and Skillet/ Hinder producer Brian Howes. The song itself is very powerful and revolves around the idea of being real, honest and genuine. Look, we may not be perfect and we’re going to screw up, but we’re doing the best we can! God accepts you for who you are and knows our hearts as we strive to live for Him. We can’t walk all over grace, but we can strive to live better and be who we need to be no matter what. He doesn’t operate on the scorecard kind of idea. It’s a real, genuine song that people seem to latch onto because there’s an underlying honesty that a lot of people are craving these days.” – Josh

“Ride With Me”/ “I hate to use the word anthem because I feel like it’s overused, so I’ll just say this one sounds huge. It’s one of those songs that says if you can’t find a reason to live, you’re never going to experience peace. You may have messed up in the past or gotten tangled up in the wrong crowd, but the truth has been there the entire time. It’s also saying you can leave everything negative from your past behind and move on.” Favorite lines include... “If your bloodshot eyes can’t seem to find an answer from this world of lies, you’ll never hear a silence from the truth that’s always screaming your name...if you’re sick and tired of all you swallow, RIDE WITH ME! And never look back!” - Josh

“Wasting Away”/ “We worked with Justin Rimer from 12 Stones and producer/writer Skidd Mills. It has a real driving feel. It’s basically a song about feeling really strained, in despair and like you’re losing everything, but knowing that’s not the kind of life you want to live. We want to give people who feel like they’re losing in life another chance and to not lose hold of the hope that exists even during the darkest seasons of life.” - Josh

“Over My Head”/ “It’s basically a song about the world kind of sucking you in, and falling into temptation even though you don’t want to. But it’s kind of written from a perspective of an army of people who are sick of giving into the world’s ways and find themselves crying out to God for the strength not to back down. As far as the music, it’s loaded with riffs that will make you move and there’s definitely a darker, rock n’ roll feel.” –Chris

“Moving On”/ “ ‘Moving On’ is a song about letting go of the past. Not only for ourselves but also for everyone we come in contact with. On a universal note, we all have memories of things we regret doing in our lives. So many times people hold on to every sin they've ever committed and every wrong decision they've ever made. This hinders our walk with God and our witness to others as well as our everyday happiness in general. We all hold on to things that weigh on our shoulders, when all we have to do is lay them down.” -TJ

“The Life”/ “We co-wrote this with Rick Beato, who produced Shinedown’s first record and also worked with Needtobreathe. We went to his studio and set up shop for a couple of days and the track is kind of different than the rest with an older Stone Temple Pilots feel on the guitar parts. It’s basically a goodbye letter for somebody facing a lot of abuse- either with a family member or some other issue. The letter is saying they won’t be affected by that abuse any longer and they’re going to move on to a better life. So many people get trapped in an abusive home or a relationship; hopefully this will give those hurting people an anthem to leave it all behind and move on until they find “THE LIFE” and let the people who’ve been hurting them know they’ve had enough.” – Josh

“Forever With You”/ “It’s kind of stripped down for us being a really heavy rock band. It’s a Prayer. Sometimes it’s hard to live right and forgive those who have hurt you. We pulled a lot from the prayer of St. Francis. If you’re in love with someone and think the world of them, you’ll do everything you can to give that back, to honor them. When we finally see what the Lord sees in us, we want to be all He wants us to be and live life to the fullest.” – Josh
