be sure to listen to the song A Thousand Winters Melting below...
A Thousand Winters Melting is a song about, well, actually, ...it's a song about its own title, really. It's a song about God having the sovereign love and power to always, always look out for us and take care of us in so many ways. It's somewhat like that massive winter melting in Narnia and Aslan returning to be king over his people... who have finally returned to him and desire nothing else than his will and his beautiful, complete, merciful love.
Also, it is a song about the mystery of God, for God always does as he chooses and as his perfect, just will mandates. As humans, we sometimes catch a glimpse of that ineffable mystery, stirring our hearts forevermore into a veritable stew of rapt attention and eternal desire for nothing but him. For he is the best. And he is so compassionate, melting all our little winters a thousand times over and ultimately redeeming all of time.
Amen. :) |
